The Bistro at Vaudeville is open. Our vision has come alive!

By May 22, 2012New Arrivals

Enter Vaudeville, Fredericksburg’s newest retail location, and look immediately to your left where you will find an inviting flight of stairs to our basement Bistro. This is easier said than done, as your eyes are most likely captured by the exquisite decor and home furnishings on the first floor. However, Vaudeville’s Bistro is well worth the descent.

Having just opened on Wednesday, May 16th 2012, the sub-level Bistro became an instant social gathering place for locals. Maybe it’s because of the homey atmosphere, the mouthwatering menu, the assortment of teas, the pastries or the wines by the glass. Or maybe it’s all of it.

The people of Fredericksburg are the type that have seen the world, but until now, they’ve never seen anything like this in their own neighborhood. The atmosphere is likened to places more common in Paris, New York and London, but the subtle touches of Texas make the Bistro at Vaudeville a one-of-a-kind.

Because of it’s other-city appeal, the Bistro is more popular with the locals than with the tourists. This is not what most have come to Texas to experience, but more a place one might come to get away. We’re pleased that we’ve attracted those whom we’ve endeavored to serve.

The menu selections alone, are the classiest thing that’s ever happened to Fredericksburg. Has this town ever even tasted the likes of a Vichyssoise Soup, Chevre Custard or Braized Chicken Lasagna? The chalkboard menu changes each day and the items are served while they last. A little known favorite is the Vaudeville Club, which never appears on the board, but is available every day. It’s “to die for”, so don’t forget to request it when you come to visit.

Choose a glass from the wines of the day, red, rose or white and get a chance to taste our selections for just $8 per glass. You’ll notice in the photos that we have many bins of wine. Choose a wine from the bins to buy and take home or to enjoy while you dine, for a $10 corking fee.

The space will soon be shared by our Market. The cheeses and meats have been ordered and we plan to be open as early as this Thursday.

The Bistro and Market are open from 10am to 6pm everyday but Tuesday.
Lunch is served from 11:30am – 2pm.
Freshly prepared pastries, desserts, cheese boards & charcuterie available all day.
